Role Description

The Value Creation Marketing Manager develops and operationalizes value-based tools, insights, and frameworks that strengthen commercial positioning across key channels, including government, Canadian Health Services, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and distribution. This role quantifies product value, develops stakeholder-specific value propositions, and enables marketing and sales teams to communicate measurable clinical, operational, and financial impact. The manager plays a critical role in advancing value-based messaging across marketing, sales training, and customer conversations.

Responsibilities

  • Value Development & Quantification
    • Build and maintain value‑based tools including calculators, dashboards, and proof‑point libraries that quantify savings, efficiency gains, and revenue impact across product lines.
    • Partner with marketing to identify opportunities to incorporate value quantification into positioning, messaging, and campaigns.
    • Execute programs to generate stronger operational, clinical, and financial insights for customers.
  • Cross‑Functional Enablement
    • Collaborate within Integrated & Channel Marketing to develop value‑driven materials tailored to government, IDN, and Canadian Health Authority stakeholders, and for the distribution channel.
    • Collaborate with the Clinical Market Development Manager, the Clinical Liaisons, and Medical/Scientific Affairs, to create value‑based health‑outcomes and reimbursement materials tailored for clinical stakeholders.
    • Work closely with sales enablement and training teams to embed value‑based positioning into curricula, tools, and field resources.
    • Partner with North America marketing, Global Business Units including Customer Informatics to ensure alignment on value drivers, assumptions, and customer‑facing narratives.
    • Champion the adoption of value‑based thinking across marketing and commercial teams.
    • Promote data‑driven decision making and consistent use of value‑based tools in customer engagement.
    • Influence cross‑functional partners through strong analytical storytelling.
  • Insight Generation & Analysis
    • Conduct quantitative analysis/studies to support the development of value-based messages.
    • Engage thought leaders to produce value‑focused publications and economic evidence that quantify the financial gains delivered by QO solutions.
    • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Health Economics, Public Health, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in marketing analytics, commercial strategy, health economics, product marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing value-based tools, financial models, customer-facing ROI materials, calculators, dashboards, or economic evidence.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and fluency in healthcare metrics, value quantification, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into compelling and practical value narratives.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across marketing, sales, clinical, medical, product, analytics, and commercial teams without formal authority.
  • Familiarity with health-economic concepts, reimbursement dynamics, and value-based care frameworks.
  • Ability to build practical tools that commercial teams can effectively adopt and use.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel up to 20% overnight.
  • This position is not currently eligible for visa sponsorship.

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, medical technology, or another regulated industry.
  • Advanced degree in Business, Health Economics, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Experience working with government, IDN, Canadian Health Authority, distribution, or other complex healthcare channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage thought leaders and develop value-focused publications or economic evidence.
  • Insight-driven, collaborative, influential, and execution-focused approach.

The Key Working Relationship

  • Internal Partners:
    • Integrated and Channel Marketing - develop channel-specific value tools, messaging, and programs for government, IDN, Canadian Health Services, and distribution audiences.
    • North America Marketing and Global Business Units - align value drivers, product assumptions, positioning, and customer-facing narratives.
    • Clinical Market Development, Clinical Liaisons, Medical and Scientific Affairs - create evidence-based clinical, health-outcomes, reimbursement, and economic materials.
    • Sales Enablement, Training, and Commercial Teams - embed value-based positioning into curricula, field tools, and customer conversations.
    • Customer Informatics, Finance, Analytics, and other cross-functional partners - support data development, modeling, validation, and measurement.
  • External Customers:
    • Government, IDN, Canadian Health Authority, distribution, and other healthcare stakeholders - understand needs and communicate measurable clinical, operational, and financial value.
    • Healthcare thought leaders and external experts - support development of value-focused publications, economic evidence, and customer insights.

The Work Environment

Typical remote office environment. Must have the discipline, organization skills and self-motivation to work autonomously in a home office environment.

The Physical Demands

Must be physically able to travel up to 20%. No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials (up to 10 lbs.) is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. Occasionally required to reach, climb or balance. On a typical day, 80% of time is spent at the desk, on the phone, or working at the computer; 20% in meetings or interacting with team members.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $120,000 USD to $160,000 USD and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time) and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
