JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Staff, Product Operations - Sports Specialist to own operational excellence for sports experiences across FOX One and FOX Sports products. You'll sit at the center of Product, Engineering, Programming, Editorial, and Customer Support, making sure every game, every match, every moment lands without friction.

This role is built for someone who understands that live sports don't wait. With FIFA World Cup 2026 on the horizon and a full slate of marquee FOX Sports programming year-round, you'll be the operational backbone that keeps our platforms ready and our teams aligned before, during, and after the whistle blows.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support operational readiness for live sports launches and ongoing event execution across FOX DTC / FOX ONE platforms

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Program Management, Content Operations, Editorial, Programming, and Customer Support teams to coordinate live sports workflows and drive issue resolution

  • Build, document, and improve scalable product operations processes, playbooks, and tools that support live sports events and other high-priority launches

  • Monitor and manage the operational nuances of sports, including shifting schedules, event timing, blackout and entitlement scenarios, metadata accuracy, and regional considerations

  • Help define pre-event, in-event, and post-event operational procedures to ensure a high-quality viewer experience during live sports moments

  • Identify operational risks, gaps, and dependencies across live sports experiences, escalating issues quickly and partnering with stakeholders on mitigation plans

  • Analyze event performance, operational trends, support signals, and workflow pain points to recommend improvements that enhance execution and user experience

  • Serve as a key operational stakeholder for live sports initiatives, ensuring product changes and launches are aligned with the realities and pace of live event programming

  • Support coverage planning and execution needs tied to live sports calendars, including availability during nights, weekends, and other timeframes driven by event schedules

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Owned operations in a live sports, high-traffic streaming or social space

  • Strong experience in product operations, program operations, digital operations, streaming operations, or a related function supporting consumer product experiences

  • Direct experience supporting live sports, live events, or other real-time content environments with an understanding of the pace, complexity, and operational demands involved

  • Demonstrated understanding of live sports nuances, including schedule changes, event windows, blackout rules, rights and entitlement considerations, and audience expectations for real-time reliability

  • Proven ability to work effectively across multiple cross-functional teams and influence outcomes in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail under tight timelines

  • Experience creating and improving workflows, documentation, playbooks, and operational processes that scale

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess operational issues quickly and drive timely resolution

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex operational needs clearly to diverse stakeholders

  • Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace a minimum of 3 days per week is an essential function of the position. Selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.

  • Willingness and availability to work hours aligned with live sports programming, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays as needed

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience working on streaming, OTT, connected TV, or direct-to-consumer video products

  • Familiarity with sports media workflows, live event publishing, or real-time content operations

  • Experience using operational dashboards, support insights, and performance data to identify trends and drive process improvements

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $114,000.00-170,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
