Demonstrating leadership, interpersonal and business skills to positively impact security bookings, grow our account base, revenue and retention.<br/><br/>As a Senior Manager Solutions Engineering, you will be responsible for:<br/><ul><li>Providing direction to your pre-sales Lead and individual contributors and working with them in strategic planning to drive business.</li><li>Communicating the team's direction, goals and progress to sales and pre-sales leadership.</li><li>Leading initiatives that help build the capabilities of the team to introduce new products to our customers.</li><li>Owning and developing a diverse suite of reports and analytics to build holistic and data-driven strategies.</li><li>Partnering with internal cross-functional teams to meet business objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.</li></ul><br/><b>Do what you love</b><br/><br/>To be successful in this role you will:<br/><ul><li>Have 10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Solutions Engineering, MIS or its equivalent.</li><li>Demonstrate experience managing one or more regional teams, including performance management, career coaching and mentoring.</li><li>Have experience managing the technical opportunity sales cycle.</li><li>Be experienced in leading and developing individual contributors .</li><li>Have expertise in API architectures (REST, GraphQL), API gateways, and frameworks (OAuth, JWT),and cloud-native ecosystems (Kubernetes, Docker) and AI Security</li><li>Know protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and cybersecurity (SIEM/SOAR, CI/CD), automated API discovery and testing against the OWASP API Top 10.</li><li>Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization.</li><li>Demonstrate ability to build alignment, trust, and productive relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.</li></ul><br/><b>Compensation</b><br/><br/>Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $146,300 - $263,300/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
