Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Textron Aviation is a leader in the aviation industry, seeking an Avionics Technician for their Go Team. In this hands-on role, you will test, troubleshoot, and repair advanced avionics systems on aircraft, while also collaborating with customers and leading a team of technicians.


Responsibilities

  • Lead complex functional testing, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and modification of avionics and electrical systems using FAA‑approved procedures and technical documentation
  • Perform final avionics and electrical system testing, ensure FCC compliance for all transmitting and receiving equipment, and sign aircraft logbook releases under an FAA Repairman Certificate
  • Diagnose discrepancies using in‑flight data and customer feedback, take corrective action, and accompany pilots on functional test flights as required to verify system performance
  • Act as crew lead for teams of up to five technicians, guiding troubleshooting efforts and mentoring lower‑level technicians through complex avionics issues
  • Partner directly with customers to explain avionics discrepancies, provide clear technical debriefs, and resolve concerns with professionalism and sound judgment
  • Execute work from aircraft orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, and vendor data to ensure precise, compliant installations and repairs

Skills

  • A high school education or equivalent is required
  • A comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems is required
  • Use of arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications along with knowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principles is required
  • A minimum 3 years of diversified experience in aircraft systems, troubleshooting and repair is required
