As Senior Manager of Business Development for the Healthcare Vertical North America, you will lead Qualcomm’s strategy and engagements across various healthcare organizations to create demand for Qualcomm-based solutions and drive adoption of next-generation healthcare technologies.


Responsibilities

  • Lead ecosystem engagement across hospitals, health systems, payers, virtual care providers, diagnostics vendors, pharma innovators, and healthcare IT/ISV partners to accelerate adoption of Qualcomm-based solutions
  • Drive demand creation by mapping high-value healthcare use cases (including remote patient monitoring, virtual care, clinical mobility, edge AI diagnostics, medical device connectivity, imaging/vision workflows, supply‑chain integrity, and real‑time hospital operations) to Qualcomm technologies
  • Co-develop solutions with OEMs, ISVs, SIs, and cloud partners to create validated reference architectures, integrated software stacks, compliance pathways, and go‑to‑market bundles supporting healthcare requirements
  • Influence Qualcomm’s roadmap based on healthcare-specific requirements for security, interoperability standards, workflow integration, power/performance needs, latency, cost, and ruggedization
  • Orchestrate PoCs and pilots with healthcare organizations and solution vendors, removing blockers and enabling scalable commercial deployments
  • Shape strategic partnerships and support negotiations for long‑term agreements and co‑innovation frameworks
  • Represent Qualcomm at healthcare industry events, regulatory/standards discussions, and partner advisory boards
  • Maintain operational excellence through effective pipeline management, forecasting, CRM accuracy, and executive reporting

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience
  • OR Associate's degree and 6+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience
  • OR High school Diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of sales, business development, product development or related work experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Business, or related fields
  • MBA or advanced technical/clinical degree
  • 5+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, or healthcare technology commercialization with at least 3+ years in healthcare (providers, diagnostics, virtual care, medical devices, pharma, or healthcare IT)
  • Proven track record forming and closing complex partnerships involving healthcare providers or healthcare tech vendors
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, FDA device pathways, HITRUST, data governance, cybersecurity)
  • Technical familiarity with connectivity, edge compute, AI/ML, clinical mobility, digital diagnostics, cloud healthcare integrations, and interoperability standards
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with executive‑level audiences
  • Deep understanding of virtual care, digital therapeutics, regulated medical devices, and healthcare IT infrastructure
  • Experience launching regulated or semi‑regulated healthcare solutions
  • Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and EHR integration workflows
  • Strong network across hospitals, diagnostics companies, pharma partners, digital health companies, and healthcare IT providers
  • Ability to leverage data/AI insights and CRM platforms for decision‑making
