Job Description

About the Role

As the Regional Marketing Lead, you are the owner of Wise’s growth engine in the UK, bridging the gap between regional brand vision and local market reality.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role. You will dive deep into insights and data to build our brand, find our next growth lever, pivot quickly based on performance analytics, and lead the end-to-end execution of full-funnel campaigns. You’ll be responsible for making Wise culturally resonant and commercially dominant in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic ownership: Develop and own the UK growth roadmap through deep understanding of the customer, brand, market, and commercial priorities. You’ll identify our key audiences and define our local positioning to solve local customer tensions and drive Wise’s relevance

  • Campaign management: Develop and execute full-funnel campaigns and product launches across digital and offline channels, ensuring every touchpoint is optimised for conversion and retention.

  • Data-driven optimisation: Partner with data teams to measure incrementality and brand lift, ensuring every Pound spent is an investment in scalable growth.

  • Agile experimentation: Continuously add and experiment with new growth opportunities and marketing tactics while solidifying proven channels. Champion a test-and-learn approach to demonstrate the incrementality and ROI of marketing spend.

  • Cross-functional orchestration: Work closely with the Product, Analytics, Insight, Creative, PR, and Central media channel teams to ensure successful and efficient rollouts, in line with the local compliance and regulatory context.

  • P&L accountability: Manage the regional budget balancing aggressive growth with efficiency.

Requirements

  • UK expert: You understand the specific nuances of the British financial behaviour and consumer landscape.

  • Full-funnel specialist: Senior marketing leader with a strong expertise in both brand and performance marketing. Proven track record in driving brand health, customer acquisition, and retention across the entire lifecycle, from high-impact TV and OOH campaigns to referral loops and CRM.

  • Insight-led & customer-centric: You have a track record of identifying specific customer pain points and turning them into creative strategies that break through the noise and drive cultural relevance in the UK market.

  • Analytical rigour: You are comfortable in a dashboard. You don't just report numbers; you extract "the why" and translate it into a "what’s next."

  • Hands-on experience: You have a proven track record of executing with excellence in autonomy. You are as comfortable writing a local brief as you are presenting a long-term strategy to leadership.

  • Collaborative leader: You know how to influence central teams and external partners to get things done in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

  • Result-focused: Ability to think 12 months ahead while delivering on this week’s KPIs.
