To see our fill list of Team Member Benefits please visit our career site: https://www.gotoworkhappy.com/benefits<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><strong>Job Description:<br><br></strong>This is a position that requires the successful candidate to be on site and at times working off site at Hard Rock Sponsored events<br><br>Under the direction of the Supervisor of Special Events & Promotions, the Special Events & Promotions Coordinator performs a wide variety of duties including but not limited to; operational and organizational support to assist with events and departmental needs, assist with the operation of events, clerical functions including administrative tasks to support the Marketing Team.<br><br><strong>Essential Job Functions<br><br></strong><ul><li>Assist in day to day departmental operations when needed.</li><li>Work all aspects needed at events, assist with customer check in, hand out gifts, assist in set up and unpacking of gifts, assist with customer service at events.</li><li>At times, may be required to work off site at Hard Rock sponsored events. (Examples may be Kern County Fair, Bakersfield Condors Sponsor Game, etc)</li><li>Communicate with various internal operating departments.</li><li>Promote positive public/team member relations at all times.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>High School diploma</li><li>At least 1 year guest service experience in hospitality, fast food or retail</li><li>Attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats. Spanish preferred</li><li>Work well in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Comfortable with working on a computer.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills.</li><li>Professional appearance and demeanor.</li><li>Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.</li><li>Ability to read and understand all Tejon Tribe policies and procedures.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Work Environment<br><br></strong><ul><li>Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional setting, as well as on a Restaurant, Hotel, or Casino Floor. On the Casino floor, it is a fast-paced, guest-smoking environment, with constant exposure to general public and excessive noise.</li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.<br><br></li></ul>The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the TejonTribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.<br><br><strong>Required<br><br></strong>As part of employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Tejon Gaming Authority, prior to an offer being extended.
