This will include efforts related to broker management, forecasting, replenishment, promotions, reporting, category management initiatives, as well as management of customer portals. This territory is primarily located in the Northeast part of the United States.</span></p><p><b>Essential Functions</b></p><ul><li>Create and manage the implementation of selling strategies that will promote the sales of branded and private brand products to various customers. This would include achieving maximum account penetration throughout the region.</li><li>Perform data analysis and lead category reviews, develop/lead action plans to grow existing business through both volume and margin improvement, promotional planning, execute sales/marketing initiatives and develop sales forecasts with customers. Introduce new products and lead customer/supplier relationship.</li><li>Create and qualify new retail opportunities where Huhtamaki can participate. Maximize <span><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">omnichannel/ecommerce</span></span> presence through digitalization excellence.  Identify and develop path to support our customers’ and Huhtamaki’s sustainability initiatives.</li><li>Drive internal collaboration within Huhtamaki by analyzing information concerning market conditions, competitive situations, industry, and customer updates.</li><li>Manage various broker organizations. Must have the ability to develop KPIs to ensure and review performance. Develop connections throughout the broker organizations to build better relationships with our customers.</li><li>Candidates who cannot perform some or all these duties because of disabilities will nevertheless receive full consideration for the job based on their ability to perform essential functions.</li><li>Assist with input of the development of new products and suggestions of improved go to market strategies that will deliver a value-add proposition for the category, consumer, and the trade within the region.</li><li>Assist in developing marketing activities and merchandising vehicles that extend brand reach beyond the current applications and usage of the existing product dynamics.</li><li>Work with a high level of proficiency in the customers’ systems.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Job Qualifications</b></p><p><i>Required</i></p><ul><li>Demonstrated knowledge of retail benefits selling with an extensive knowledge of merchandiser retailing, including advertising and merchandising planning, inventory turnover, return on investment, and sales per square foot, plus the overall ability to use tact and discretion to achieve results through others.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills including in person and virtual presentations to large and small groups.</li><li>Superior analytical skills, such as creating and interpreting Circana and other consumption data.</li><li>Negotiation and influence experience</li><li>Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Office).</li><li>Experience with using Salesforce to manage pipeline and account activity</li><li>Remain knowledgeable about the fast-moving developments in the retail and merchandising fields.</li><li>Manage and control expenses within cost budgets and report expenses in a timely manner.</li><li>Have a clean driving record</li><li>Live within 45 minutes of a major airport</li></ul><p></p><p><i>Preferred</i></p><ul><li>4-year degree (BA/BS) in business or a related field. Advanced Degree(s) – Marketing, Accounting/Finance, Economics, Packaging, or similar work experience in one of these disciplines.</li><li>4+ years sales experience selling consumer packaged goods with a career progression that would include P&L responsibility at the account level, region level and general management concepts such as planning, accounting, administration, and economics.</li></ul><p><b>Environment</b></p><ul><li>Travel 30-50% annually to customers’ facilities, trade shows <span>and Corporate HQ.</span></li><li>Carry computer and samples to customers for presentations.</li><li>Established home office free of distractions</li></ul><p></p><p><span>Join us.
