Job Summary

GeBBS Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Medical Coder to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical records, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting the billing and reimbursement process. Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze patient medical records, physician notes, and other clinical documentation.
  • Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines, regulatory standards, and payer requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and billing teams to resolve coding discrepancies or queries.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards, medical terminology, and industry regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development initiatives to improve coding skills and efficiency.
  • Support audit and quality assurance processes to maintain high coding accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certification as a CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.

Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in medical coding, healthcare documentation, or related field.
  • Freshers with certification in medical coding are encouraged to apply.
