<p><b><span class="emphasis">Job Overview</span></b></p><p><b>Position Summary:</b></p><p><br />We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Worker II to join our Grounds Maintenance team. Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Grounds Maintenance, the Maintenance Worker II will operate and maintain a variety of powered and mobile equipment, ensuring the upkeep and beautification of our facilities' landscapes. The ideal candidate should possess experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or related fields.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Operate a range of powered equipment, including mowers, tractors, trucks, loaders, and various hand tools, to maintain grounds and landscapes.</p></li><li><p>Perform landscape installation, maintenance, and construction tasks, such as mowing, watering, mulching, fertilizing, and pruning.</p></li><li><p>Assist in the application of herbicides under the guidance of a licensed supervisor.</p></li><li><p>Conduct operational inspections of equipment, perform minor maintenance tasks, and ensure proper fluid levels and air pressure.</p></li><li><p>Work with a crew, overseeing and participating in assigned tasks, including transportation of crew, equipment, and supplies to work sites.</p></li><li><p>Assist in event setup, furniture moving, and other manual labor tasks as needed.</p></li></ul><p><b>Minimum Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p></li><li><p>At least 1 year of experience in landscaping, grounds keeping, mowing, or related areas.</p></li><li><p>Ability to operate a variety of powered and mobile grounds maintenance equipment.</p></li><li><p>Valid Class B Commercial driver's license with air-brake certification or the ability to obtain one within a probationary period.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Special Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><p>Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 36 months and no DWI convictions in the last 60 months.</p></li><li><p>Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol tests due to the nature of the position.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Physical Effort:</b></p><ul><li><p>Work in outdoor conditions, including inclement weather and noisy environments.</p></li><li><p>Operate powered equipment with hand and foot controls.</p></li><li><p>Lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.</p></li><li><p>Perform tasks in awkward positions for extended periods.</p></li><li><p>Exchange information in person and via two-way radio.</p></li><li><p>Drive within the airport property and transport workers as required.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p style="text-align:left"><span class="emphasis"><b><b><b>About Us</b></b></b></span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span><span>We are Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport-one of the most successful airports in the world by any definition.
