Summary Lidl is looking for its next Administrative Assistant to join the Purchasing team in HQ! The Orga 1 Administrative Assistant provides critical project and process support for the Purchasing Data Management department.

This role requires the ability to work independently, superb attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to complete multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. This position will assist with generating reports and complete tasks on a variety of topics, with the ability to meet deadlines.

The Administrative

Assistant will liaise primarily with Purchasing, as well as multiple stakeholders within the business, and external Service Providers, therefore requiring strong customer service skills.

What You’ll Do

Essential Functions

  • Assist with all Category Group Analysis (WGA) administrative tasks
  • Support the WGA process by helping set up the analysis and collecting samples
  • Join Category managers during the analysis to notate agreed changes
  • Process all incoming INT tasks and liaise with applicable stakeholders
  • Process supplier charges in coordination with accounting
  • Support data maintenance in several systems and Google Workspace
  • Proactively escalate issues to management in a timely manner
  • Carry out process improvements in coordination with management
  • Ensure process adherence when completing tasks and liaising with stakeholders
  • Perform data entry tasks for various department projects
Note: In addition to the tasks listed, this position may include, per instructions of their superior, additional ad-hoc tasks out of operational necessity.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Google Workspace or related software
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Comfortable and professional when interacting with all levels of staff, including senior leadership
  • Ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and confl icting priorities
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks to ensure accuracy and completion within a given deadline
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively during periods of high workload
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Intermediate to advanced German language skills to help in liaising with the German HQ and translating German documents and systems

  • Salesforce experience
Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 year of experience in a related field or relevant internship experience
  • In lieu of degree, 2+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
Physical Job Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment, including the store(s), distribution center(s), warehouse(s), and/or corporate office(s) with the capability to switch job functions/roles quickly
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) more than half the time
  • Ability to maneuver cases of product (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to spend more than half the time viewing computer monitors
