If you're passionate about automation, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to contribute to the success of a cutting-edge company, we would love to hear from you Position Overview Under the general direction of the Global Applications Manager, the Field Applications Engineer is responsible for serving as a high-level technical consultant to customers, ensuring full confidence in RoBAT's engineering expertise. As part of a specialized North American engineering team, this role provides advanced systems analysis, remote and on-site engineering support, and complex technical problem-solving for RoBAT systems. This role exercises discretion and independent judgment in the evaluation of system performance and interfaces closely with the New York engineering team on design-related machine issues. Key Responsibilities <ul> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Engineers and manages the installation of a variety of RoBAT systems and leads the implementation of regular maintenance strategies at customer sites</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Provides specialized technical consultation and remote support, independently determining the necessary course of action for complex system failures</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Analyzes case data to identify trends and provides engineering reports for each on-site and remote support case</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Manages inventory strategies and forecasts spare parts requirements both on and off-site</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Develops and implements feedback to innovate processes and technical documentation</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Provides training and technical orientation to customer engineering teams on system architecture and operation</li> </ul> Location Remote, with moderate travel to customer sites and office locations. Open to candidates in Yuma, Arizona or Calexico, California areas. Compensation The expected salary range for this position is $74,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year, dependent on qualifications and experience. Experience and Qualifications <ul> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics, or minimum of four (4) years of related experience in the Printed Circuit Board industry</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Proven ability to apply advanced engineering principles to troubleshoot and resolve high-level system malfunctions</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Ability to travel to/from Mexico and the U.S. on a regular basis; must posses a valid passport book or passport card</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Must posses a valid driver's license</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Ability to provide written and verbal communication clearly, professionally, and promptly</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure and professionalism</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Advanced analytical troubleshooting ability and the capacity to make independent engineering decisions</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Ability to work independently with little supervision</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Experience in interacting with customers is preferred</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Ability to interpret and modify schematics and mechanical drawings is preferred</li> <li style="line-height: 115%;">Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus</li> </ul> Working Conditions/Physical & Mental Demands The physical demands and working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
