About the Role We're seeking an experienced Customer Logistics Representative to join our team in a flexible and rewarding remote opportunity. As a CLR, you'll play a critical role in the execution of our account plans and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You'll be responsible for managing complex cargo shipments, negotiating rates with carriers, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Key Responsibilities • Manage complex and exception-based cargo shipments, including rate negotiations with carriers and obtaining capacity for specialty moves (white-glove, refrigerated, flatbed, etc.). • Communicate directly and frequently with internal offices, clients, carriers, and vendors through oral or written means. • Oversee service performance at a high level, including underlying driver examination for pickup and delivery failures. • Assemble data and analysis from carriers, auditors, and vendors, and report load exception data in the Transportation Management System (TMS) portal. • Manage exception burdens to resolution. • Identify process improvements and cost savings opportunities using Quality, Delivery, Measurement (QDM) techniques. • Handle escalations from Client Planning Operations Managers regarding complex information/exemptions following client SOPs. • Monitor and manage internal and external Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as assigned (e.g., soft delivery, number of missed pickups and deliveries, etc.). • Responsible for clear work guidance creation and maintenance and SOP consistency. • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures. • Perform other duties as required. Qualifications We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for logistics. The ideal candidate will have: • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., logistics, transportation, business, etc.). • 0-1 years of experience in a related field (e.g., logistics, transportation, customer service, etc.). • No less than two years of experience with contract logistics, transportation, or other related industries. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks. • Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Flexibility to work from home and occasional in-office work, as required by the organization.
