Status: Part-Time / Hourly

Pay Rate: $22.82 - $26.85*

Reports to: Director, Turf and Grounds

Event Groundskeeper is a part-time, game day position will assist in the pre and post-game preparation and maintenance of the playing surface at Dodger Stadium. Event staff assist in the maintenance and preparation of the playing field at Dodger Stadium. Duties include varied tasks related to preparing the field to the highest standards.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Batting Practice setup and breakdown
  • Pre and post-game field preparation, line painting, mound/plate repairs, infield maintenance etc.
  • Assist with tarping field in event of inclement weather.
  • Dragging field during game breaks.
  • Assist with non-baseball events while team is away.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

 

Basic Requirements/Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Work experience with baseball or softball equipment a plus.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with turf maintenance equipment (mowers, blowers, painters, etc).
  • Ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 75 pounds and walk, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to kneel, squat and bend for extended period of time.
  • Posses excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Ability to be detailed orientated while working in time sensitive environments.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
