We are seeking individuals to join our EA SPORTS Academy in a first-of-its-kind, hybrid Producer/Project Manager track. This 12‑month immersive experience will provide the knowledge, mentorship, and hands-on experience needed to build the foundation for the next generation of EA SPORTS Producers and Project Managers. Participants will develop the creative, operational, and leadership capabilities required to deliver high-quality sports gaming experiences from concept through launch. As a member of this program, you will undergo a structured, dual-discipline curriculum and receive formal dual-mentorship from both a Senior Producer and a Senior Development Director<br /> <br /> The Game Maker is a hybrid, entry-level leadership role that combines creative feature ownership with project planning and execution. This role will support the delivery of high-quality game features from concept to launch while ensuring alignment across scope, schedule, quality, and budget.<br /> <br /> You will operate at the intersection of product vision and execution rigor - support cross-functional decision-making, balancing creative ambition with operational constraints that help teams deliver predictable, high-quality outcomes.<br /> <br /> This role requires strong systems thinking, the ability to influence without authority, and ownership of delivery outcomes across multiple disciplines including design, engineering, art, QA, and production.<br /> <br /> What You Will Do<br /> <br /> Product & Feature Ownership<br /> • Support delivery of key features or game areas from concept through launch.<br /> • Partner with Design and Creative leadership to define feature vision, player value, and success criteria.<br /> • Apply systems tradeoff thinking to evaluate scope, cost, risk, quality, and timeline implications.<br /> • Contribute to product decisions that balance player experience with execution realities.<br /> • Ensure feature quality aligns with franchise standards and player expectations.<br /> <br /> Execution & Delivery Leadership<br /> • Help to establish clear goals and delivery plans aligned to overall franchise milestones.<br /> • Build and maintain detailed project schedules based on team estimates.<br /> • Manage dependencies and remove delivery blockers.<br /> • Communicate progress, challenges, and priorities with your team.<br /> • Ensure alignment between scope, timelines, quality targets, and available resources.<br /> • Support a collaborative culture that achieves outcomes.<br /> <br /> Change & Stakeholder Leadership<br /> • Lead teams through change, shifting priorities, and evolving production realities.<br /> • Communicate status, risks, and tradeoffs transparently to leadership and partners.<br /> • Build strong working relationships across disciplines and external partners.<br /> • Represent your area of ownership in franchise-level planning discussions.<br /> <br /> Qualifications<br /> • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.<br /> • You are a leader who takes initiative, motivates others, and drives results.<br /> • You think in systems and see the bigger picture, offering thoughtful solutions to complex challenges.<br /> • Strong written and verbal communication skills.<br /> • Previous project management or team leadership experience is an asset<br /> • Experience in different project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile is an asset<br /> • A passion for video games, particularly EA SPORTS titles, is a strong asset.<br /> • You have an interest in, or experience with, American Football - whether recreationally or competitively.<br /> <br /> Core competencies you will gain during the Academy<br /> • Systems Thinking: balancing scope, quality, and player impact<br /> • Operational Discipline: rigorous operational planning<br /> • Product & Business Acumen: translating feature vision into playable, successful features<br /> • Cross-functional Influence: learning to lead without authority<br /> • Leadership Judgement: managing ambiguity and team health in a complex environment<br /> <br /> About Electronic Arts<br /> <br /> We're proud to have an extensive portfolio of games and experiences, locations around the world, and opportunities across EA.
