Catalina Express provides a unique, upbeat and friendly work environment. Offering seasonal and year-round employment on land and at sea, our passenger counts normally peak between April and September.

We begin recruiting seasonal staff in February of each year to start training for the busy spring and summer months. With Labor Day officially ending summer, we gradually begin reducing our staff to compensate for the change in business demands during the fall and winter months. If an employee is not retained during our off-peak season, but maintained a positive employment record with Catalina Express he/she may be invited to come back the following season.

As a visible member of our crew, Deckhands load/unload baggage, clean and secure deck and cabin areas, and provide general customer assistance. Will prep vessels prior to departures and clean at end of runs.

Minimum 18 years of age, 6 months customer service experience, ability to lift and carry 70 lbs; not prone to seasickness; must be able to swim; must be able to work out of all ports: San Pedro, Long Beach, Dana Point; required pre employment US Coast Guard drug test and required random drug testing upon hire.

Shifts are variable days/times, weekends and holidays required.

Hourly wage begins at $19.73 per hour.
