Summary

Responsible for assisting with bookings, reservations, and customer services for the City of Garland’s Atrium at Granville Arts Center. Additional duties include coordination and execution of a variety of special events in coordination with other departments.

Pay Range: (Depending on qualifications and experience)

Work Schedule: Weekly work schedule includes days, nights, and weekends, and may include changes to the regular schedule based on the needs of operations

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service on bookings and reservation of events, using venue systems and following established procedures.

  • Assist customers in planning and executing events either in person, on the phone, or through email communications and serve as point of contact for clients. Update staff accordingly.

  • Regularly give customer tours of facility and create/edit customer account records and information in venue systems.

  • Collect fees and perform simple accounting duties.

  • Perform basic audio visuals on light boards and understand different setup floorplans.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 1-3 years of related experience in a sales, hospitality or customer service environment using computer technologies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the job.

  • Valid Class C Texas driver's license.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Works in a typical office work environment but some physical labor is required.

  • Occasional outdoor work as needed based on customer requests and city event support.
