Role and Responsibilities:

As an Classroom Support Teacher, you will help create a positive, engaging, and safe learning atmosphere for young children. You will collaborate with lead teachers and center staff to implement KinderCare’s curriculum, promote individual learning goals, and build meaningful relationships with families. In this role, you will encourage curiosity, support emotional development, and foster a lifelong love of learning.

  • Assist lead teachers in carrying out KinderCare’s age-appropriate curriculum that encourages creativity, exploration, and social-emotional development.
  • Monitor and engage with children to support their safety and well-being while maintaining compliance with health and licensing regulations.
  • Nurture positive, respectful relationships with children and maintain professional communication with families and colleagues.
  • Promote hands-on learning experiences that build problem-solving skills, independence, and curiosity.
  • Work alongside teachers and leadership to maintain smooth classroom routines and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
  • Prepare classroom materials, maintain organized learning areas, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment.
  • Take part in training sessions and professional development opportunities to support continued skill-building and career advancement.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Meets state requirements for early childhood education roles or willing to obtain required qualifications.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and follow direction from teaching and center leaders.
  • Strong interest in working with young children and supporting their growth.
  • Effective communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • CDA or early childhood education coursework preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or interest in pursuing certification with employer support.
  • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
