Copilot Careers is now seeking Classroom Assistant to fill immediate needs across multiple school districts. In this role, you will assist classroom teachers and help maintain a productive learning environment, ensuring students continue to receive academic support throughout the school day.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Classroom Assistant, you will help create an organized and supportive classroom setting when regular staff are unavailable. You will assist with instructional tasks, classroom routines, and student engagement to keep learning on track.

  • Support classroom management by helping students stay focused, follow guidelines, and complete assigned work.
  • Provide instructional reinforcement, answer student questions, and help clarify assignments.
  • Observe and encourage positive student behavior to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
  • Follow lesson plans and assist with classroom activities as directed by the teacher.
  • Supervise students during lunch, recess, hallways, or school activities to ensure safety and accountability.
  • Prepare materials, organize supplies, and support daily classroom operations.
  • Assist students with special needs under guidance from teachers or school administration.
  • Report concerns, behavioral issues, illness, or injuries to the appropriate school staff.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support school operations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working with children or in a school setting is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to support classroom behavior expectations and maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a desire to work with diverse student groups.
  • Basic understanding of classroom routines and the ability to assist with instruction.
  • Empathy and a commitment to helping students succeed socially and academically.
  • Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Successful background check and criminal history clearance required.
