You do not need to be a data engineer, but you must be able to identify data quality issues, engage confidently with technical teams, and articulate KPI requirements to both C-suite stakeholders and data architects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Requirements & Business Translation

Engage with client stakeholders across business functions to identify data needs, KPI definitions, and reporting objectives.

Translate business problems into structured data use cases, defining the questions that analytics and BI deliverables must answer.

Document data requirements, business rules, and logic in formats accessible to both business and technical team members.

Identify upstream data issues (poor data models, aggregation inconsistencies, hierarchy mismatches) that affect downstream reliability.

Data Analysis & Insight Delivery

Perform data profiling and validation to assess data quality and flag issues for data engineering and architecture teams.

Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations (Tableau, Power BI) that communicate findings to executive and operational stakeholders.

Analyze trends and patterns across client datasets to surface actionable insights in support of EBITDA improvement and revenue growth goals.

Ensure accuracy and integrity of all analytical outputs through structured QA processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

Act as a liaison between client business units, TechTorch delivery managers, and technical data teams.

Facilitate workshops and working sessions to align stakeholders on data definitions, reporting priorities, and success metrics.

Communicate project progress, data risks, and issue resolution clearly and proactively to all stakeholders.

Build trusted relationships with client contacts, positioning yourself as a knowledgeable and credible data partner.

Solution Design Support

Collaborate with data engineers and architects on source-to-target mappings and conceptual data model reviews — you identify the problem, specialists solve it.

Contribute to functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for BI and data platform builds.

Support UAT and post-deployment validation to confirm solutions meet business requirements.

Process & Delivery Improvement

Continuously evaluate client data processes to identify gaps, redundancies, and improvement opportunities.

Contribute to TechTorch's internal knowledge base, documenting reusable frameworks and lessons learned.

Support delivery managers in tracking milestones, managing scope, and coordinating cross-functional workstreams.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
